Here's my run-down on Stark Skincare:
- Founded by Jessica Lafleur with the city dweller in mind (without excluding those outside of city limits).
- Made in small batches in Montreal, Quebec and packed with powerful, high-quality natural ingredients.
- Uses all plant-derived ingredients that are mostly organic and fair-trade.
- One of the best well-written product stories with an authentic colorful voice that is both compelling and informational.
- The products look, smell, and feel great. They feel real and fresh…not manufactured, processed, or spurious.
- Beautifully creative and artistic packaging (including that great little redwing bird in their logo) that you want to proudly display on your countertop.
- Stark's Grapefruit Cleanse + Hydrate Balm has a delicious light grapefruit scent that energizes and soothes my senses every time I use it. A little goes a long way and a pea-size amount is all you need. This natural cleansing balm also removes makeup really well. Makes my skin glow like no other cleanser that I've used to date (don't even need a natural face moisturizer after use and I typically always have to use one) but unfortunately doesn't keep my blemishes at bay with daily use in the hot suburbs of Dallas, TX. I've scaled back to 1-2 times per week for that healthy glow and will use it again in the colder months to see how my skin behaves…please skin behave because I love the way Stark's Grapefuit Cleanse + Hydrate Balm makes you look.
- Stark's White Willow Bark Perfecting Tonic has a nice light citrusy cucumber aloe scent and works to nourish and keep skin clear. It's pretty potent so 1-2 sprays is all you need.
- Stark's Cypress Purity + Defense Oil has a deep woodsy scent that finishes with a light citrusy vanilla-like note. It's part masculine in scent and part feminine in its soft, gentle composition. Use 1-2 drops after cleansing to naturally protect skin from city grime. This natural facial defense oil absorbs easily into skin and is not heavy at all.
- Stark's Green Tea Detox Clay Mask is one of the better face masks I've tried that actually works. It truly absorbs impurities, detoxifies, and rejuvenates skin. It comes in powder form so you just mix a little water or green tea with it to moisten and then apply to face. It has a barely there green tea apple scent from the green tea, apple and lime fruit extracts that are mixed with this French Green Clay. It's easy to rinse off and my skin looks brighter immediately. It can also be used as a spot treatment.
