L’Oréal USA ushers in concierge service to lure employees back to the office
THE WHAT? L’Oréal USA is incentivising employees back into the office with the launch of a concierge service that will take care of daily chores such as collecting dry cleaning, picking up pets and refilling cars with gas, according to a report published by the Daily Mail.
THE DETAILS The French beauty giant’s new perk will be available to qualifying employees at its recently opened Californian HQ. Similar schemes are not currently available at its New York office.
THE WHY? With home working becoming entrenched during the pandemic, presumably the initiative is designed to tempt workers back into the office by taking care of the daily chores that many have been able to fit around their work-from-home schedule but struggle to complete when commuting. L’Oréal USA CEO David Greenberg has been vocal in his belief that staff need to engage and interact in person for the business to thrive.
